We really had a frightening experience when we went camping last week.

We got lost in the wilderness and had to bite the bullet until help arrived.
森で迷っちゃってさ、助けが来るまでひたすら我慢するしかなかったんだ。

Did you manage OK?

Jason：

Barely. We weren’t prepare for the cold weather and we couldn’t find any shelter. We almost froze by the time they found us.
どうにかね。でも、寒さ対策もしてなくて、避難場所も見つからなくて、見つかった時には凍えそうだったよ。

Jason：

Wow, you are dressed to kill today! What do you call that in Japanese?
おお！今日はおしゃれだね！それは日本語でなんて言うの？

Miwa：

It’s called a yukata. The yukata is a casual form of a kimono, and is usually worn after bathing. Now it’s popular at fireworks displays.
ゆかたよ。ゆかたはカジュアルな着物ってとこかな。お風呂上りに着るものなの。最近は花火大会でもよく見かけるわね。

Jason：

Do you have any casual kimonos for men?
男物はないの？

Miwa：

Yes, we do. “Jinbei” consists of a top and matching shorts.
あるわよ。甚平っていうのが上着と短パンのセットなの。

Jason：

Cool! Where can I get them?
いいねえ。どこで買えるの？

Miwa：

You can get them at department stores. They have summer sales now.
